The Future of XSitePro

I know from past threads that there are many users of the XSitePro web design software on these boards. You might be interested in an update from the owner, Paul Smithson, which has just been posted on his blog.

Just as background info, Paul has been unwell for the last 18 months and as a consequence, the software has not been updated (since version 2.5) or, by some accounts, fully supported. He has been trying first to recruit developers, then to find someone to take over the running of the product. So far without success.

He is still hoping to find a partner or a "White Knight" to develop the software and take it to the next stage.

Anyway, here's the link to the post:

I've seen this problem with proprietary software from small companies. Even when the coder is able to do full days the development might not get anywhere for extensive periods of time. It's critical to have good support with a CMS because the software is online, but I guess you can just keep using a software package like this.

Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?
