Which free WP theme would you recommend?

I apologize in advance if there already was a thread along these lines, but I was hit with the sudden whim to try to change things up a bit with my blog, and I was looking for nice and appealing ideas for free themes.

Anyone got any to share?

Would be much appreciated!

    There are a lot out there. I use one called Asteroid and I was using another one called Frontier.

    If you are looking for a free, clean and fast loading theme, try:
    Some Random Dude — Frank, an Open Source WordPress Theme

    It is unbelievably fast and beautifully simple yet elegant. I use it on 4 of my sites. It got rid of all the unnecessary crap that most themes have, leaving behind just the essential stuff.

    And yes, it is also a responsive theme.

      That looks like the latest in the line of simple Wordpress themes I need to be using (previously I used VeryPlainTXT and Truly Minimal), but it is not displaying properly. The items which should be in the right sidebar are showing up under the header.

      Does anyone know how to put that right?

      It is supposed to be flexible, according to the developer, but I can't find any way to make it work.

        I will try it out myself and let you know if I see what you're talking about. My other suggestion is to send a PM to the poster who originally suggested this theme, since he may not come back on here and see your question.

    I the wordpress theme I use for my blog is Journal box wordpress theme.
    Simple with nice background colors.

    I like the Poloray theme for a lot of my sites. The free one only comes in blue. If you're good with CSS, you can change the colors yourself, if not, the premium version has a bunch of different color templates.
