So everytime I click on add new page in WP, I get the famous 500 internal server error. I have spent around 13 hours now trying to get to the bottom of this, and I am admitting defeat. I am now looking for another way to add/edit pages. Is this possible? I was thinking maybe using database manager on my server (GoDaddy), although I would not know where to start. This is crushing my motivation. Think I will steer clear of WP in future.

Steer clear of Goddady... not WP. On that host nothing should surprize you.

505 is always a server side error.

Yea I know, I have exhausted every option within my capabilities to try and fix this issue. I am asking if there is a way to get around it and edit pages another way?

there is another way to edit your WordPress pages but it is NOT for someone who doesn't know what they are doing and I don't even know if GoDaddy has this for their hosting clients but you can edit the pages from the MySQL database using phpMyAdmin

here's what I would do before doing anything else - if there is anyway you can get to the plugins page in your WordPress admin without getting the internal error - then just deactivate all plugins - see if that fixes your problem - if it does - then you know you have an incompatible plugin that you need to get rid of and you can find out which one it is by reactivating each plugin one by one until you isolate the culprit.

It could also be at the server level with the web host.
Knowing what I know about hosting companies - let's just say you need a better one - Find a web host that has better resources for running a WordPress site. At the very least look for a web host that has Litespeed servers or better yet get cloud hosting. Shop around - there are a ton of choices.

Agree, stay away from GD but if you decide to stay, i would ask their support to correct the 505 error.
