How to add a banner to my blog?

I know, it sounds really stupid question. I am not so good in english and maybe I just dont get something really simple. I tried to add banner or commercial as I saw in youtube, but it says that its not correct. Is there some really easy site where they show you step by step how to do it?
Can anyone help me? I want to add commercials and banners to my blog. Nothing else. Thank you

    If you are using wordpress then you can change your banner images by simply going to setting at the last of the options. It will happen only if you have options to change the banner image because some free wordpress theme don't have this options.
    And if you are using Blogger then just login to blogger and then go to dashboard of your blog. Their is one option you will see customization of theme. Their you will also see the option of hadder image. There you can change your banner image.

    If you are using custom admin panel hire a developer to create a section for banner advertising.

      # First Step
      As always, login to your blog
      Choose a menu template in dahsboard
      Click on Edit HTML
      Find the code]]> </ b: skin> by using Ctrl + F
      Place the following code right above the code]]> </ b: skin> then Save Template.
