Tools for creating a PLR site

I am setting up a website for a PLR service. Currently, I set it up with html, mostly as a prototype, just to get something available for my current students who get free access. Bascially right now it's a download page only.

I want to add password protection and management, plus ability to search for different types of ebooks/audios. I have access to WordPress and HTML. I own a set of WP plugins that can do everything except not searching the products (membership, affiliate and store). I also would prefer some type of affilate manager for affiliates to sell it, but this can be added later if needed.

I am mostly a beginner with WP, and medium level with html editor (Dreamweaver).

Any ideas for good tools to do this? Right now I need it to be very low cost, perhaps upgrading to something better later if needed.
Or perhaps I figure out the best tool(s), then sell it now with a lifetime payment (so I won't require password protection).
Or perhaps I just add password protection for now.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
