WEB DESIGN

Hello everyone, I made this website/blog using webs.com and was wondering if you could let me know what you think of it. I'm an amateur, or actually not a writer at all but, none the less I put it together as a family site to share parental adventures.

The website is in my signature, but listing it here only to explain how I came up with the name also to ask what you think of the name. twinsights.webs.com

We have twins hence the part twins, actually due in April. One boy, one girl...OK done with the father pride speech. The second part using part of "twins" "insights" combined to make twinsights.webs.com focuses on what I think their insights might be as they grow from infants to toddlers and beyond.

My focus is the insights of them with a pure mind compared to us adults who have been influenced by society of all sorts.
The goal of the blog is to explain what their point of view might be as pure thoughts verses what ours is knowing corruption and conflicts in the society we live in.

You need to work in the font family....have you seen how much ugly your paragraph is looking. Have you used justify for your paragraph???

thanks, what type of font do you suggestion and what do you mean by justifying ? how should iI justify it, is that left, center or right, kind of like on a work processor document? sorry for the ignorance

  thanks for the suggestions. I changed the justification, changed the font, but I left it BOLD.
  I would love to come up with domain name, but money is preventing me. I figure its a work in progress so I'll get there sometime. My next blog is after my much needed road trip with me and the dog. can't wait.

Well, yeah. You've got so much different font styles that the site really looks like it was made by an amateur. Which might not be such a bad thing, since it was.

I'd remove all the colors and centering from the front page, and just use the font style you're using on the about page. Centering usually looks bad, and makes the text harder to read because the lines start from random points.

If you can help it, make the blog text narrower. The posts are hard to read because the lines are too long. You should also use real paragraph breaks because that huge block of text is hard to read.

Why do you have a forum? Unless it's a very active niche, or you already have a group of people interested in writing about this particular subject, it's likely that it'll never take off. Blog comments are usually more than enough. Guestbook is so retro that it's almost cool, but I would remove it too.

The website content wise is great, however it's just how the content itself is displayed thct causes it to look off. The font is only part what seems to be off, but also the front page layout. Maybe something to put them in boxes and separate them using borders and such, it helps differentiate the content from one another and not create such a cluttered look.

I wouldn't know how strict or limited webs.com might be, so that might also be a setback as well....

Other than that, have at it, you're doing great!

You done really great job. The color combination is very good and attractive. You need to use little bit small buttons of Signup and login. The second is that you use white color in the banner background . The text font you use in some place is looking bad.

You'll want to function inside font family members.... maybe you have seen how much unappealing your section is usually looking. Maybe you have used warrant for ones section???
