If i am not wrong, you want to upload new files from local host to server for your website for that You can use Filezilla.

You want to copy a site that you have seen? I would not do that. It is easier to buy a template in Themeforest or elsewhere. They are $15 or so. Or you may get one free. Then you customize it and upload it to your server via FTP with a free program called Filezilla.

    1.) Own the website.

2.) Copy files to server using Filezilla as stated.

3.) Don't copy someone elses work without permission!

4.) Possibly look at the source code to see if they are using a FREE or paid template (wordpress , html, joomla etc template) if so go buy it and edit it yourself.

There are a few website ripper programs out there, but they all suck and don't typically get all of the files since there may be too much going on server side. Better off buying a template yourself then copying others work.

you need to be more specific!

      1) Do you have an html website or php site script?
      2) Wordpress or CMS type site?
      3) A site you built or have on your home computer or a site online?

      Solutions:
      1) If you have a website on your computer you can use an FTP software like fileziler witch is Free and upload to your hosting account
      2) If you have wordpress use a software like backup creator to clone and move your site
      3) If its plain html just use FTP to copy and move

With more info we may be able to help more!

Come to a web design forum and everyone takes it upon themselves to dictate your ethics for you.

If you're looking to copy a website that you don't own, then use WinHTTrack Website Copier.

Or if you own the website, then simply upload your files to the new site.

To Everyone that responded to my question earlier, thanks and yes the website that I would like to copy is mind to copy, the owner has given permission to copy it.

Just to copy it, upload the files and images. So far Filezilla has been recommended twice.

I use Filezilla for all of my FTP needs.
If you are copying a site from an original you may want to inspect the source in files.
In the HTML look for the paths of images and make sure they will link to your new copied site. You would want to look into the CSS files as well and make sure the paths would be accurate. And if the site has it, the Javascript may contain paths in as well. If the paths are not set right you will have a problem with rendering images and other files on the site.

Before you copy someones website take a moment to look it over and find out if its his own designed website and theme or if he has the rights to give it away. Some themes come with developer rights and allow flipping a site to clients. Other have multisite rights for the person whom purchased to only use on his own sites, And some have just personal license for one install on own site.

If you copy your own website then can upload with Filezila Ftp services. If you copy some other website then you break the rules. You can buy theme for your website from templatemonster.com and can easily upload it.

    1. Old Server -> Compress the Apache server path (/var/www/) - sudo zip fullbackup.zip /var/www
    2. Go to new server, Login into your SSH -> sudo wget http://oldserveripaddress/fullbackup.zip
