Need Advice on How to Create a Download Page

I am new to IM and just started using a Wordpress plugin called Leadrocket to build opt-in pages. I offer a great free report. When a new subscriber enters their email and clicks, they are directed to one of my affiliate sites.

The new subscriber will receive an email from my autoresponder with the free report attached. How can I create a download page or link instead of having the report as an attachment?

    Can't you just open a page on your site, upload file to your server, link it, and provide page link in email?

      The easiest ways to do it is to just create a page with the download link on it, then go into your cpanel and password protect the page. have your password included on the email that goes out!

      another way is to create a members area using the same idea or use a membship software or plugin!

        You create a page and upload to your site, then in your auto responder you select that new page as the "Thank you page"

          Hi All. Thanks for the responses so far. I just want to clarify and make sure I understand your advice. First let me say that my website is built using Wordpress and an opt-in page plugin called Leadrocket. When you click on it, it will redirect to one of my affiliate offers.

          The subscriber also receives an email from my autoresponder with the Free offer as an attachment. I know this is not the best method. Hence, I want to make download page.

          Do I up load my file to the FTP directory with my host (HG) and then create a new webpage specifically for the download. I guess I would have a link on the page going back to the FTP file....correct?

            you have a few options.
            1) Just ftp product to your hosting and just link to it for download (no download page!)
            2) Download page - password protect or leave open and just link to page in email! if password include the password!
            3) Create a members area - password protect directory
            4) Use a membership plugin
            5) some people allow download but password protect a pdf document.
            6) If using wordpress just create a page and name it as you like! You can find hundreds of plugins to password protect page or create a members area!
