    You could reduce line-height from 25px to 20px in the list in css.
    Look for .list-label-widget-content ul li and reduce line height.
    Next, you'll need to pull arrow up, so under background reduce 11px to 7px. That's the maximum you can do without redesigning whole sidebar.

    Personally, I like it more the way it is now (bigger better ).

    One thing I would suggest on my side is to make the entire container wider so that you can then widen the left side panel without making the middle content area tiny.

    I think 150px+ more wider would do the trick because it would still have its thin look but with more readable sidebar text.
