Need help to get banner to show

I was given this code.. I replace your affiliate link here" with my affiliate link and then i go get my banner code and replace it with the URL.. I am putting this in a 'text file' on wordpress with the title 'Special Offer'. I then go to redirection and in the source i would call it something like /go/example and then i would paste my affiliate link in 'Target URL' hit save, then right click my redirection i had just created and copy link aress and then went back to text file and replaced the 'affiliate link' with this link. Hit save, go to website and all i see is 'special offer' on my site with no banner showing up?

I tried this with just my affiliate link and banner code without the redirection stuff and same thing 'Special Offer' just shows up without a banner?

Any idea guys?
