Free Wordpress Themes

Hello all,

I was looking for some free Wordpress themes and saw this:
40+ Free Responsive WordPress Themes

Has anyone had any experience with these themes? My understanding is that free themes have malware or connect to the developers machine.

How can one tell if a theme is safe or not?

    you can find most of those themes, by going into your website dashboard and clicking appearances then click on themes and add new theme, you can search through thousands of themes and most of them are free,, find the one that fits your needs and click install,

    There is no need to worry about using a free wordpress theme unless you are going to use it on a really huge project. No one is really interested in gathering information about tiny websites.

    Stick to the official WordPress repository and you'll be fine. All themes available there have passed security reviews from malware, etc.

    dg, instead of slagging through all of the themes on Wordpress, save some time and look for ones that are tailored to your vision. Concentrate on what your product or service is, and simply google "free Wordpress themes" that are related to whatever is related to what you are offering, or fits in line with what you want to project.

    For instance, if you're selling an ebook which features a main charater who bakes cookies a lot, look for themes related to baking or cooking.
