You need software to create the logo and knowledge of good design. I use CorelDRAW and Photoshop, but some use Adobe Illustrator also

Tablets are worthless for those programs. More than software, you need to be skilled in design. The software doesn't design. The designer does and if you have no design skills, all the software and hardware in the world won't produce a good logo or any other design project.

Forget tools - if you want to be a good designer you need to be a good artist.

Fully agree with this. I have some great guitars but I am a novice player.

If you are a great designer, you will even be able to use basic dtp software to create logos. Try Serif PagePlus, which has a ton of functionality for a lot less money than the big ones. I have made quality logos as well as ebooks, flyers and website headers with this excellent software.

Best Logo as I know :
    1. Simple
    2. Easy to remember
    3. Represent to your business

You can use app like correlDraw or Photoshop, than convert to .PNG format for best quality image

Logo design is not easy, i mean not easy to make a good logo. If you really want to do this I would recommend taking a class. I am sure they would also cover what programs you need. Likely the same ones we list here.

You also need to understand the difference between "Vector Drawing" (Adobe Illustrator or equivalent) and "bitmapped" or "Raster" graphics.

They are mutually exclusive. Bitmapped is for smooth continuous changes of tone, like a photo. Vector is for shapes that are each separate and bordered by visible (or invisible) lines (more like a cartoon or map).

Bitmapped or raster images are made by a "raster" of contiguous rows of pixels, like bricks in a wall.

There are programs (and also tools inside programs like Illustrator) to convert between the two types, but it's hard to do and the results will vary.

Logos are typically vector based drawings and do not look like photos.

    Hope this helps...

In order to create great logos, you must have basic knowledge of drawing so you can sketch your idea and then work that idea into Photoshop or Illustrator.

    Hope this helps.

I am not a graphic designer, but my friend is making a lot of money out from it. He uses Corel Draw, Photoshop and Adobe illustrator. But he is basically using Corel Draw in designing pixel perfect banners and 3D logos for his clients!

"Talent" is a myth. Everyone born with normal faculties is naturally "talented", that is, extremely creative. These attributes have helped humans survive since the beginning. As survival factors of critical value they are expressed and continue to evolve.

Those who do not display creativity have probably had it diminished by educational systems designed to produce assembly line droids for an industrial age or by repressive governments, poor parents, etc.

Do you ever remember your night-time dreams? Do you understand that those wildly creative narratives come from your creative mind?

The idea that some are born with creativity and others are not is false. There is no "talent" only near-universal creativity.

I partnered with a Graphic Designer. I can design Graphics but not as good as my partner. My partner can design Web Sites but not better than I can. That way we each can focus on what we like to do best.
