In the past, when I create pages or post I can change the font sizes, color, etc
but now the the toolbar just disappear.

Not sure why... will appreciate your help!

First, make sure when you're editing a post or page that you're in the "Visual" tab of the editor. There are two tabs, "Text" and "Visual". Make sure you've clicked on the "Visual".

If you've done that and still see no way to change your fonts, here's what I would do: if you know how to install plugins, search for and install the Tiny MCE Advanced plugin. That will give you toolbars with many formatting options, including those you're looking for.

What happen, this probably if you have transfer the WordPress with FTP it can be some files has been failed for some reason, due to your internet connection or so, in this case could be the php files of the tool bar.

This happen to me exactly year back, if I remember well it was in 2007 or 2008, anyway....

here is what you need to do simple task if you know how to use FTP or Filezilla,

First try to see with pbarbanes methods mentioned above, if you still have this problem

Just go to your FTP or Filezilla and transfer again this 3 folders (wp-includes - wp-content - wp-content) of WordPerss from you harddisk to the server where you have install your domain, when transferring if it ask the files already exist just overwrite all and go...

Don't worry just do it, you will not lose any contents or pages you have already in your site.....

    Hello,

Make sure you click the icon that says "toggle toolbar" at the top of the editor. That will show/hide the kitchen sink of options.

This is a paid plugin, but check out the Thrive Visual Editor. It take editing post/pages in WP to a new level.

    Take care,
    Allan

Have you tested using the free plugin: Ultimate TinyMCE?

Although it might be putting a band-aid on the problem...

It allows you to change your fonts on your wordpress site

When I first tried Wordpress 4 years ago, I feel exactly the same as you.

Now I know exactly what to do.

You may either install CKEditor For Wordpress or TinyMCE.

Believe me when you do that, you should be able to see options to change your font style and size.

My Wordpress toolbar doesn't have a font selection either.

When I want to change fonts, size, etc. I just go into the "text" editing mode and put in the HTML code for whatever font and size I want to use. Never had any problems doing it this way.

Here's a website I go to when I need different codes: HTML Examples

    Hope this helps!

If I remember right, some themes and plugins mess with the user interface, and the last update may have broken some hooks.

Try disabling any plugins that alter your post display, one at a time. If disabling one of those brings back the toolbars, that's your answer.

If that doesn't work, try using the default theme and see if your toolbars come back.

Most likely it has do to with the theme that you have chosen. Some themes do not allow you to change fonts or you can have only one type of fonts on your site.
You can also install plug-ins like CKEditor For Wordpress or TinyMCE.

If you are using a bunch of plugins try uninstalling each and then check. If that doesn't solve the issue try going back to the default wordpress theme. Maybe a plugin or some theme elements are causing the problem for you.

Consider using a third party plugin to change the fonts on your WordPress blogs. There are many free plugins that allow you to do that.
