www. openmindedlifepath .com I hear often that the layout is too dated, however I have my own idea and ideal about this static layout. However, I would like to know when it is a big NOT.. i might consider a change then..:rolleyes:

    You should consider adding more styles to the text. It looks like copied from Word and pasted in the middle of the page with no idea what purpose it should serve. I don't like the overline of text. You can remove it by editing this code and removing "overline":
    Code:
    a:link:hover {
        color: #484848;
        text-decoration: underline overline;}
    Also, take the time to remove the grammar errors. It discourages reading.

      In my own opinion I think now is "when it is a big NOT" because your site utilizes an iframe which is frowned on by Google and to be honest you do not see modern sites using an iframe for two main reasons: search engines sometimes de-index sites using an iframe and search engines sometimes de-index sites using an iframe.

      With that said, if you do not care about SEO or traffic at all then don't worry about it.

    Main Issues are about bad usability and "Look & Feel":

    1. No UVP (Unique Value Proposition) at top of page. Have to read 1-2 paragraphs just to find the page's exact topic.

    2. In web pages, underlines are expected to mean hyperlinks. You should NEVER underline words which are not links.

    3. When a phrase IS a hyperlink, it should be some tone of blue before visited and some tone of violet after being visited.

    3. Horrible looking lack of whitespace, like for left and right margins.

    4. Bluehost banner ad crammed into text with no margins.

    5. Your navigation scheme shows no indication of what page the visitor is currently viewing. And when a visitor is on a page, that page should not show as a navigation choice.

    You need to either edit the template or each page to add margins. many other fixes would also help.

    You asked as a design opinion. Although it`s not a very appealing site, in terms of design looks ok to me, not dated. A website based on content strictly.

    I would add margin where needed (just about everywhere) and do not underline text if its not a link.

    cool, thanks for the tips and opinions! I never really thought about the margins or the underline so that is very usefull. I must say that I do not use an iframe, it does have the same appearance thought.. what comes to SEO I am not too concerned, the website has many things to improve but in general I am not using any unovercomable scripts. Well, thanks anyhow

      HTML 1 or 5, nothing in the design catches the eye. Consider a change to a new design as soon as possible.

    I would concider a change the site does not wow me or stand out. The graphic on the left is taking up valued space. And ads on right are too wide my eyes keep going to ads in a frustrating way.

    sure, I am thinking of putting a pic of myself and all that stuff on the pic on the left.. like that the site will be much more personalized... all feedback is very much appreciated

    of course it does not care if its html 1 or 100 but I was just concerning the comments about the iframe.. i do not utalize them so it does not hurt seo.. thats all
