Help with WP Plugin

Hi all

I am looking for a plugin but can't for the life of me think what the word is I am looking for to search for it.

Basically I would like a popup window to open when a visitor hits my site, where the site behind fades out, the message would then have the option to either follow the link to the offer or to continue to the site

Any ideas what that's called and any recommendations? Also anyone have any thoughts on these types of offers, do you think they work or put people off?

    Easily the best option for you is Layered Pop Ups. It's not my product but I just bought it the other day. Works awesome and you can do this kind of stuff too

    Modal window is what you are searching for...

    A modal window is easy to do, since you are using WP jQuery is already included... some CSS, some HTML and maybe a jQuery cookie plugin... done

    leadpages.net is not bad, but those programmers do not really know much about frontend performance... loading js in head, css not combined into one file, js not combined, png instead of jpg, ... etc
