Webiste review - hoping the warriors can take a look :-)

Hi all

Three years ago I asked the forum to take a look at my website (which attempts to attract students from Malaysia for my proofreading and translation services).

I had loads of constructive comments and was able to make significant changes; however, although it's been active for several years, staring at it on a daily basis has quite possibly fogged my view of it - and a freshen-up may be the order of the day.

All reviews gratefully received, please be as constructively brutal as you feel necessary; don't worry, I'm fairly thick skinned (too much fast food in my diet).

My site can be found at GrammarProofing.com

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Phil

I like the overall feel of your site. It is stylish.

I would center the div with id ticker-1401612117692 in the header and also add some left padding to the h2 tags. I would add some space between the lines of your calculator, but these are all minor issues.

Good luck with your site and your services.

      Thanks Harkon

You're spot on - I've been meaning to change that H2 tag :-)

      Spaces added as suggested.

I'm not sure i'm going to keep the ticker. I want some way of displaying testimonials without visitors having to go to a specific page; thought this may have been right, but something bugging me about it.

This theme has an interesting way of displaying testimonials. It cycles them with a press of a button.

That looks good eh. Sadly I am a Wordpress virgin. I tried to get my head around it once but gave it up for what I already know. So i would need something similar, but in HTML :-)

Hi, I think the site is still nice looking as it is. The only thing I might consider is a more stylish look or font for your title of, "GrammarProofing.com."

Sometimes by freshening up the look of your name or logo, you appear to be reasserting your presence in your market.

    Continued good luck!

      Thanks GfS

I had a lot of problems with logos previously. Apparently some did and others didn't like my attempts, which really is most inconvenient. So I ended up going with something fairly neutral.

This was an older one; which personally I really liked, but no one else did.
