Can This Be Done with Joomla?

I'm using Joomla 1.5 to set up a new site and I have the following question.

Here's an example to illustrate what I'd like to do.

Below, you can see the Sections are numbered (1 and 2), and the categories are listed underneath them.

1. Soups
*New Recipes
*Chicken
*Meat
*Fish

2.Desserts
*New Recipes
*Strawberries
*Mango
*Traditional
*Sugar-free

How can I make it so that when I publish an article, it becomes part of the New Recipes category for any section and then after a stipulated time period have it go to it's proper category automatically.

Example: I have an article with a new Mango cake recipe. When I publish it, I would like it to appear in the "Desserts" section under the "New Recipes" category, then after 10 days I would like it to automatically enter into the "Mango" category, because it is no longer a 'new' recipe.

Would this have to be done manually, or is it possible to automate?

it can be set to publish in the future, you need to set the parameters in the article area..the section on the right has publishing dates set the date in the future.
for all your categories you need to set up categories, sections.
but after reading the question again i see you need the article to move to another category automatically, that as far as I know can not be done via joomla
