How Do I Become a Wordpress Master?

Hi all,

I'm looking to create my first website and would like to focus on using Wordpress. Unfortunately, my background in IT is focused in Networking (CCNA), and I have no clue where to begin. I've decided to start tutorials on these sites:

w3schools
tizag

Can someone tell me which areas I should focus on?

HTML
JavaScript
XML
ASP
PHP
CSS
PHP

I am willing to learn and put the time in, I just have no idea where to begin in order to build a good Wordpress site.

Any help would be appreciated.

You really don't need to know much more than very basic HTML to tweak your WordPress blog using text widgets on the sidebar. And to just make posts there really isn't that much to it. Even if you want to really customize a theme there is so much information online that all you need to do is Google.

If you want to customize a wordpress theme you need to know some basig HTML, PHP and CSS. Working with, can only become a WP master.
I suggest you to read some wordpress articles and watch some "how to" tutorials.
