How do you redirect a visitor like an exit pop?

Not exactly an exit pop up, but how do you redirect a visitor to another page when they try to close out your site in Wordpress? For down sells. I see it all the time on sales pages but I don't know how to do it. When someone goes to leave my sales page I want to offer a reduced price.

      Yeah that will work. I guess I wasn't thinking a pop up would work for some reason, just thought to redirect straight to another page. Thanks.

    Hi,

    You can also do it using Javascript as well as HTACCESS rewrite rules.
    Use plugins wisely & only when needed as it might slow down the site's performance.

      Yeah that's true, problem is I have no idea how to do that. I can install a plugin like a pro, lol. How can I do that?
