Hi Guys Not sure if this is the right area for this post, or if anyone can help. I have a new site setup, and having problems with my emails going into signups spam folder. I thought this may be a problem with the PHP script which automatically sends an email on signup. Having opened various email accounts (hotmail, yahoo, gmail) I have found that even if I send an email directly from outlook to any of these accounts, the email ends up as spam/junk. I have done checks to see if the host I use has been blacklisted in any way, but can't find anything. If anyone has any ideas how to get round this problem please let me know. If you want to run any checks on my server my domain is rankwarrior.co.uk and the email I am sending from is info at rankwarrior.co.uk Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance David |

Are you on a dedicated server? Anyway setup SPF records and make sure the mail server has proper reverse DNS setup. |

no its not a dedicated server, its a shared one unfortunately - due to cost. I have looked SPF records, (don't really know much about them), but told to paste this into my 'zone file' rankwarrior.co.uk. IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx ~all" |

^ Yes that is right. But mostly you are facing delivery issues because the server is new and the IP doesn't have any history. It may not be in any black list but mails coming from new IPs are usually flagged by most mail providers. Ask your host to contact various mail providers so that the mails from your server are not filtered. I had the same issue with my dedicated server and after contacting mail providers the issue was resolved and now my mails go to the inbox directly. |

@CoderPundit If the age of his server is the issue, would it be an (easier?) option to ask the host to move his site to an older server? |

I managed to get it sorted, host was a total waste of time. Was told all shared servers have this problem (which is a total lie as I have other sites which are fine for delivery). I decided to use constantcontact, which is great, and does exactly what is says on the tin! |
