Can't find good designer - what am I doing wrong?

Hi guys,

Hoping you can help me out here.

I'm trying to find a badass designer to work for our team on a casual basis and coming up with nada.

We do a lot of sales letters, banner ads, VSLs, OTOs, etc... so I need someone who knows direct-response as it relates to design.

I've searched the first 5 or so pages of the Warriors For Hire section and not finding anyone who fits the bill - mostly people who are very over-the-top flashy.

Tried posting on eLance and oDesk and got no hits... even asking around is getting me nothing!

Is there a place badass designers who "get" direct response hang out?

Would love to know...

P.S. Obviously if you are a designer who "gets" DR design you're welcome to contact me via email/Skype/PM, I'd love to chat with you. Likewise if you have a recommendation.

    Hi Daniel!

    Did you try freelancer.com apart from Odesk and Elance?

    It would be weird if you did not come right but if not, maybe post a job on Job sites / Personel Agencies. Also check out redditors for hire, there are web designers there and you can post your job there as well.
