I don't want people to comment on my blog, what settings do I use?

Hi,

I have a couple of Wordpress websites that I want to use just as a normal website with pages. Problem is that I am getting people posting comments, some of them are total crap.

What settings should I use to un-enable comments.?

    Inside dashboard click on post you want to close comments on,,,, then top right of edit post page you will see SCREEN OPTIONS -- click that and check Discussions

    Go to settings>>discussion and uncheck the box next to: Allow people to post comments on new articles. After that go to your posts and look at the top right corner and click the screen options tab and uncheck the comments box. That should do it.

    Problem is, I did already uncheck the discussion setting for "Allow people to comment", but somehow they are still able to add a new post and comment?

    Go to setting page make commenting disable, its a very simple. Try it
