I have a client that we set up with WordPress and she bought her domain through them too. But there is no place to change Permalinks in Settings.

Please see attached...can anybody please help? All my other Wordpress sites have a way to change Permalinks

Matthew...I really appreciate your response but what I tried to mention in the first post is that in SETTINGS I don't have a permalink setting.like you do. That's why I am so frustrated...Any ideas?

Did someone add custom code into the functions.php file to stop the permalinks setting from being shown in the editor navigation? To check this try logging in, then put this address into the browser to try to access the permalink settings directly... yourwebsite.com/ followed by wp-admin/options-permalink.php

Yes, I am guessing either functions.php or another plugin over-wrote the slot in the sub-menu where the Permalinks settings was... switching themes or deactivating plugins should get it to reappear.

I went to that URL you gave me and it was indeed disabled...but, for the life of me, I can't figure out why. I didn't disable it (don't know how to) and all we did was log in to Wordpress together...where she bought the domain (with WP.)

Could either of you fine folk tell me what's the best way to fix this? Maybe there is a file I can access with FTP and make a coding change. Hopefully I don't need to re-install it. There are no plugins (we didn't get it from CPanel) and it is themeless. I guess we should have gotten it through their main website's cpanel

Also, I have numerous wordpress sites under management and none of them have the Settings looking like that! Is it because we bought the domain with them?

Have you tried disabling plugins one by one?

or try some other answers in this Google search

That's the problem...I don't think I have any plugins. I bought this directly from Wordpress and even bought the domain name from them...but I will check again to see if there was a plugin I missed.

I'm sorry I didn't realize you were using wordpress.com. From your screenshot, it looks as though you have bought a domain (from wordpress.com) but you haven't bought hosting so the site is being hosted for free via wordpress.com and is redirected to the url you bought. I don't use wordpress.com much but it looks like it is not possible to change the permalinks (they have disabled it). You also won't be able to use ftp or change the theme files (unless you purchase a theme that provides more a few more options for customization). Your site is currently using the default theme twentytwelve. So if you want to change the permalinks and have full acces to your theme files and access website via ftp you will have to install wordpress on your own hosting.

Yeah...I'll just have to download WP through their CPanel. I had a feeling that that was the answer. It's like they are saying "Wait...you want free hosting AND a way to change your Permalinks? Geez...give a mouse a cookie and...!"

Yeah, you got a free cookie and now you want a glass of milk too.
So if you don't want to use wordpress.com, you can change the nameservers of your domain to point to your new hosting then install wordpress on your hosting. Then you can change whatever you want, have milk with your cookies and give your theme a haircut too.
