Which theme will be better? (wordpress)

Hi Warriors,

I am going for an article directory kind of blog and stuck on the theme choice right now. My first choice is the from the default theme from wordpress and other two from popular groups. Please suggest

1: Twenty Twelve: light / beautiful / wordpress support
2: Stargazer: light / SEO Friendly / Justin Tadlok hybrid framework / Not impressed with design.
3: Thematic: Don't have much idea about it but many people suggested this one too.

Please help me out.

    I suggest going with the Thematic one since Twenty Twelve is very common and became boring.

      I second this. Twenty Twelve is a default theme that everyone has seen.

      Make yourself stand out

      PS - I could probably recommend some good free themes, depending on the niche you're in.

    I actually think twenty twelve is fine. People like simplicity... i have always had good results with simple themes but it's up too you.

    I am also a little more bent towards twenty twelve, but at the same time I am going to make some changes to the theme to make it stand out.

    I like siteorigins "Current". Its flat, fast, sleek and solid to look at.

    I also like the built in pagebuilder, which lets you build every separate page with widgets for text, pics, menus, ect. But you can use that on many other themes.

    Design your own theme using Lubith.com or hire someone on fiverr to design one for you. Like Jennifer says above: Make yourself stand out.

    All of these themes look beautiful and professional. Personally, I would opt for Thematic or Twenty Twelve. These free WordPress themes have a clean design and can be easily customized.

      Good choice.

      Way too many people think that they have to use a theme straight out of the box, so they'll squander hours looking for the exact right combination of design and graphics.

      How many threads have you seen here asking about which theme to use for a [niche subject] site?

      For those of you who say the default theme is too common, I say that with a little work and imagination, anyone can tweak that theme until you wouldn't be able to recognize it.

      I agree with JohnMcCabe.
      Go for simplicity but at the same time, don't be common. Do your tweaks here and there until you it looks just right for you.
