Direct Link or Landing Pages

Hey Guys,

I wanted to get your opinion on what works best for you such that DL or LP? I've only been doing DL as I'm not too sure of how to do Landing Pages. As such I wanted to get your thoughts on:

1) Is DL good enough for getting conversions?

2) Would LP be a better option as compared to DL in getting higher conversions or is it about the same?

3) Is there an easy way to learn LP if I'm not an expert (or have no clue) on HTML or coding such that if there's a way I can replicate a Landing Page easily?

    Hey man,

    Direct link is good enough to make conversions but if you want to make BIG money and more stable, then use the landing page. Anyway, I usually recommend newbies to try DL first to get familiar with the processes.

    LP is definitely better than DL if you can find good combinations between targets, landing page, and offer. It requires time and budget to test.

    Go check AffLanders. It's a PPV landing page builder.

    The money is in the list...i always make sure that i use a landing page before i even promote although i have seen many people get success with direct linking but it isn't always the case.

    I would definitely go with landing page as there are too many things you can do if you are putting in landing page in between, putting a pixel being the most important..

    IMO, you should always at least test a few LP variations, the majority of my successful campaigns are from using LP's

    Definitely LP is the best and most profitable, but you can test a little DL and see the results yourself. Just remember the key is testing and as an internet marketer you need to keep testing and learning.

    start of with a DL. Add your niche specific domains for your offer.

    Actually, I'd use a rotator and fill it with similar DL offers.

    Chances are you won't make any money. Think of it as paying for data.

    Find out which niche related domain gets the most traffic.



    Now build several landing pages with the look and feel of that domain with all the traffic.

    Don't copy the logo, just the color pattern and font. Put your landers on a rotator and attach it to the offer rotator.

    Now run that campaign until you find your best pair of lander and offer.

    you are going to need a rotator. I don't know if prosper or cpvlab offers that function but gauher's testing platform does.

    Both can have pros and cons. Using landing pages or creating your own it just gives you more options as far as how to pre-sell the offer to the user. You can angle it differently if you're targeting a slightly different demographic for example. You can have users provide their e-mails by using a squeeze page which you can build a list out of and then promote subsequent offers to down the road.

    Like some others mentioned, it's all going to require testing to see what work's best and to optimize your strategies. Just take your time and eventually you'll find the winning combination, even if it's with a different campaign.

    Direct linking won't get you too far.. ultimately you would have to look for a long-term, sustainable income stream and landing page will be one of the first per-requisites for it!
