Interesting experiment with Adsense, how to avoid such an outcome?

So I have been noticing that my adsense earning in terms of RPM start to decline over time. My CTR remains the same but the Active Views Viewable and the Cost per click decline resulting in a reduced RPM.

So I did an experiment. I created two identical websites and created two identical facebook ads to drive traffic to these websites. The only difference was I started sending traffic to the 2nd website 2 weeks after the first site.

Here is what is interesting I had an RPM of ~$4 when I started advertising Site #1 by the end of the 2 weeks it was ~$2.
At that time I started adverting the 2nd website and it also started off with an RPM of ~$4.

Keep in mind that its the exact same traffic, exact same website and exact same time and the 2nd website is earning double of the 1st.

Any idea why this is happening and how to prevent it and get your Adsense earnings to hold steady?

    for me is page view increase

    earning is less

    I usually have less page view whereas managed to get near 1 bucks or 2

    now page view increase ..earning just 50 cent.
