    Hi Fight Tv,

    Welcome to the forum.

In AdWords it's not a campaign that gets approved, or disapproved, it is your individual ads, and your website, that might get disapproved if you violate advertising policies. So please check the status of each of your ads to verify that they have all been approved.

If you find that your ads are all approved, then you need to find out if there are any issues preventing your ads from appearing to your customers. The Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool will come in handy for this task.

    HTH,

    Don Burk

Why display? In my experience search ads have always done a lot better.

I too agree with the same, you should focus more on search instead of display traffic. I also see that you are new so that's a big risk!

        Hi timokeefe & Rozanne,

How can you imply that Search is better for the OP's specific situation?

Doesn't the OP's strategy, niche, and specific marketing goals matter?

I run an advertising agency and have managed ad campaigns for hundreds of companies over the past 15 years. I can say with certainty that there are a lot of marketing goals where the Display network is a much better choice than the Search network. This is especially true in 2017.

10 -12 years ago it was true that for most businesses Search was head and shoulders better for a direct response campaign. Back then you could even run low cost branding and awareness campaigns, but things have changed quite a lot over the past decade. AdWords has introduced Quality Scores which killed the most effective Branding & Awareness campaign techniques for the Search Network. They have also since expanded the features and targeting methods for Display significantly during the same time period.

With the addition of Remarketing for Display, and In-Market segment targeting the potential to get more business at a lower CPA is not only practical, it is a fact that many business are getting far more business at a lower cost than is possible from the Search network, especially for a brand new business with a lot of competitors.

In today's marketing environment the average digital advertising competitor is far more sophisticated than he was just a few years ago, if you are not using a multi-touch, multi-channel strategy you are probably getting killed by your competitors in AdWords, especially if you are using the most basic Search Network/Direct Response only campaign strategy.

Just saying Display Network rocks in 2017! Remarketing and In-market targeting are both game changers, if you think AdWords is only good for Search you may have already missed the boat,

Fight TV, there are little quote bubbles that pop up next to many items in ad campaign, check them, they might give you the info you want. Also there is a Google help section with a live chat you might want to tap into.
Sometimes it takes a day or two for the ad to start generating traffic, perhaps your keywords are too few or you bid too low ?

Well, my experience is mostly in direct response

That said it sounds like the OP is just looking to dip his toes in, and for that situation I'd be recommending search to get a direct response. Out of curiosity how would you attack the problem with display?
