Where to find a good coach?

I don't call myself a coach, as I don't take money for providing some tips to people who are struggling with ppc, Internet Marketing, cpa/cpl etc..., but I will be happy to help if you have any quesitons.

Do you know what type of traffic you are interested in? I'd start by looking at that and picking someone or a program based around that

I'm very biased towards AFF playbook, but STM and ppccoach are good as well

How much money do you have and time do you have.

I believe you should first define exactly what you wnat to do. Joining a mentoring program without knowing what you want to learn or having specific goals is almost always a mistake.

Determine very well what type of business you want to build, what kind of trffic sources, verticals and offer you want to use, and just then look for a coach.

There is not a specific place for finding coaches, but yu will eventually find some potential mentors here as well as on other forums and Facebook, but, as I said, you should know your goals before choosing someone to help you.

With CPA marketing you'll need to work a little while before you start seeing a return.

If it was as simple as work 8 hours a day, and get a return, then everyone would be quitting their jobs to start CPA Marketing fro home.

But 8 hours a great amount of time to be able to put into marketing if you stick with for 3-6 months working 8 hours a day you'll running your own business for home in no time.

It's harder and harder to get approved with affiliate sites nowadays with the HOT platforms (Adwords and Facebook). Which means traffic network -> Landing page -> Offer is way harder to get approved nowadays. If you want longterm profits, you might want to build a fully established affiliate site full of reviews and valuable content.
Of course, in the US there is so much traffic to be bought, but I find it way more lucrative to go with proven platforms that have an interface specifically created to get you more money.

As of coaching - there are some really smart marketers around here. $10k is a bit of an overkill, and since you already pointed the amount publicly, be aware of scammers.

Ideally you want somebody to teach you the following: (some basic points)
1. Traffic networks / Traffic generation
1.1 Self-managed
1.2 rep-managed
1.3 Media buys and direct to site buys /Find related sites for big scale potential/
1.4 Display advertising; PPC/CPM/PPV
1.5 Understanding cold/warm traffic
1.6 Email buys
2. Offer creation
2.1 Copywriting /ad copy, landing pages, headlines, emails, testimonials, persuation, and so on/
2.2 Sales funnel - upsells, downsells, maximizing profit
3. Split testing --> How much is enough, how to do it, softwares, etc.
4. Tracking
5. Remarketing - some really advanced techniques available, that rarely pop up in any guides
6. Scaling, planning, monitoring and optimizing
7. Understand targeting, how to easily find interested prospects ready to pay you
8. Overall website layout that drives more sales
9. Understand data collection, and optimization
10. email marketing
and some more...

^ All of the points above have some really advanced techniques. It's extremely rare to find somebody who is an expert in all of the above. This is why you need to know the direction of the coaching.

The first thing you should start tackling is making good landing pages.

Landing pages are a huge factor of success in the CPA business.

This means first, learning what a good landing page looks like via spying techniques, learning ad copy / angles techniques so you can spot them, and studying offers as well.

Next, you need to learn the HTML and the design skills to make them. Thanks to all the coding software available today, this is a very easy skillset to acquire, but it will have a learning curve like anything else.
