Hi Guys,

I am sorry, i was away and didn't looked at this thread. Btw, the product i promoted is a Diet Product and the traffic source is Display ad network.

I ran my ad campaign through network wide by setting up conversion tracking and later, i filtered out the sites which are not working for me and yeah finally, i got some traffic sources which are working great for my offer.

My advice is to look out at your metrics like CTR, Conversion rate, and LP CTR.. a small variations in these numbers might give you good revenue.

I tested this campaign with $500. When it showed good results, i never backed to invest more on it. I had days where i spent $4k per day.

Yup, i had ups and downs, i had days where i lost around $1000 in a day. But since, i know what is happening with my campaigns, i just pause my campaigns if the conversion rate is dropping down.

No, I didn't do any list building, just used the landing page and then redirected to the offer.
All you need is a good landing page and targeted traffic source.

Amazing Success story, I can't wait till I hit that rate, I've been doing this for nearly 3 months and I'm only making around $100 a day, but It's all from Google Ads, but right now our company is actually working on something that is a free program that should bring in at least $50/day extra with CPA leads. We also have a email list of 60k to work with...Suggestions?

If you know your audience well, then when you had their email addresses, you can simply hit them with relevant cpa offers to their emails and get leads..Its all about giving people what they want.

An user will click on an ad if he founds what he wants, then clicks on the links if he still find its useful for him in the landing page and finally, he will converts, if the offer is same what you have talked in the landing page and ad.

Yes, 300x250 performed pretty well for me. But when it compared with up-sell products, step1 and step 2 products performed very well

Never back out to invest. If you can't lose, you can't win.

1) Anything above 0.1% CTR is great, but the more the CTR you get, the less you will be spending for clicks.

2) Yes, US is my main traffic source, though the spending is huge, but the profits you will get will also be like that only..

Hi,

One of our fellow warrior has asked me a question via PM, i think it would be helpful to the community if i share it here.

This is what i replied to him..

This sample math is keeping me on profits.

Suppose you bought 11852 clicks for $0.30 per click
that means, 11852x0.30= $3555.6 for 11852 clicks

And say like your LP CTR is around 12%, means, out of 11852 clicks, only 12% people will actually click on the offer link.
12% of 11852 clicks is 1422 clicks.

And consider, only 5% is your conversion rate, means out of 1422 clicks, only 5% people will convert for that offer.
5% of 1422 clicks is 71 conversions.

And if your offer pays around $48, your ROI is 71x$48 = $3408

So, now after you go enough data, try to optimize your lp ctr, adjust cpc, and try to get a pay bump from your aff manager.

for example, if your converison rate is increased to 8%, then 8% of 1422 clicks is 113 conversions.

So your ROI will be 113x$48 = $5424

Suppose, if you think you are over spending, try to reduce your cpc rate, say like your dropped your cpc to $0.20

Now, your spent will be 11852x$0.20 = $2370,

In that case, you can be profitable with even 5% conversion rate also.

Just adjust the above metrics, you can make any campaign profitable.

Hey man, hope you're still around. So i finally got around to Sitescout, and i'm trying to do what you did - diet trial with a lander.

Out of 515 people who got to my lander, 256 clicked through to the offer, so it's a 50% CTR on the lander which is pretty damn good, right?

The problem is that so far i've had 0 conversions. I run this same trial offer on PPV and i know for a fact that it converts. I also know for a fact that it converts in combination with the advertorial lander that i'm using because i tested that lander on PPV too and got decent results.

I think my issue is the targeting. I'm doing Audience targeting and i haven't really got the hang of it fully yet. The AND and OR options kinda confused me. Also, there are like 10 different Audience data providers to choose from and 20 different Ad Exchanges.. With my setup, I was getting impressions from sites like roblox.com and anime and mange sites. I actually got a 3% CTR on roblox.com. Makes no sense, right?

So yeah, basically i need to tighten my targeting. Any advice? I just re-launched the campaign and changed my targeting to only one data provider and i'm doing it by demographic info (gender and age). Is this the right direction? I don't expect you to give up the setup that you used haha, but any advice that would point me in the right direction would be much appreciated!

Hi,

You should do site specific targeting. When i first started i used to get the same high CTR's from irrelevant sites like anime and manga. Suppose if you are getting good CTR from a website means, just try to check that website and try to imagine whether the audience in that website will convert for your offer or not.

I have days where i used to earn $500 in a day using a single site. So its all about targeting the right audience. Not just getting CTR.

And my advice is to block "Site Bundles" in sitescout because they never converted for me.

I would use the category option to filter the niche. If you have good test budget means, yes definitely go with RON first and after you have enough data you can optimize your campaign. But remember to tighten your targeting your RON campaign, otherwise it will eat up $$$$ in few mins. And if you don't have good test budget means, go with picking up some sites but it will take lots of time, but it will be useful finally.

Isn't SiteScout very expensive as you can bid on CPM. What sort of CTR do you need in order for a campaign to be profitable. I was under the impression that the average CTR for a banned is around 0.1% and this could end up being a few dollars per click.
