Best Way To Get Committed/New Affiliates

Hey WF,

I am just curious as to how other affiliate managers on this site have gotten traction in gaining new affiliates who are committed to actually doing affiliate marketing. Lately I've been getting a lot of all talk, no show people. Its frustrating... I know its part of the game... But any inside advice helps for sure.

    Network, network, network..

I know it's likely not what you want to hear but it's part of the game, just keep talking to everyone, get your name out there, build your credibility, etc..

If you want an idol, look at Luke from peerfly, look at what he's done, that is a great way to become successful IMO

Have you thought about attending any shows like Affiliate Summit, ad:tech, Leadscon? Always a good place to meet people in the industry and get your face out there. Nothings better than real life interaction and face to face networking!

I second that! At least for me personally I always found it more efficient and basically more fun when you talk face 2 face! I see networking as a time consuming necessary evil for expanding your presence.

      Who reads signatures anyway?

You should build your credibility, just like Chris said above. You can provide free lectures on Affiliate Marketing, etc so Affiliates will eventually want to learn from you.

Also you should talk to many people who are in the same industry. Try to build connections and you will be good to go!

I guess where would I start if I'm unable to attend shows? Im on linkedin, I reach out to a lot of people often. I know its not overnight but I guess I'm looking to be pointed in the right direction.

Twitter and Facebook work well too.
Also pay attention to joe, I don't think he's an AM, but if you do what he does you shouldn't have any problems networking with people.

I've always wondered about trade shows and how they compare in terms of ROI on money spent going to or exhibiting at one. For attendees I guess you can see new products really easily.

You can build your reputation on forums by helping other people or you can make your own blog with information that can be useful for every affiliate. Other then that just network with people, join IM groups on Facebook where you have tons of affiliates. There are a lot of affs who need offers on those groups and if you have that offer on network, you got yourself a new affiliate
