    they are both really good.

But in terms of targeting for money, you cannot beat FB, but it depends on your niche.

You can custom target on FB, and get more bang for you buckeroo-nies.

Well, it depends on the demographic of customers you targeting. if its the young and socially inclined , the FB ads will do the trick.

FB ads are also good if you want to see how the people are reacting to your business idea.

Google ads are more direct for me. Those who knows what to get, will just do a search on google and BAM...he selects the sites that are relevant and makes purchase.

Try do more research on your business ideas and see where its place right now in the market.

    -Cheers-

Facebook really targets the people interested in your niche and it is far cheaper than Google ads. Google ads still work great and should not be ignored, but facebook ads seem to be the better option of the two.

It really depends on your niche i think.

The benefit of Google ads is that people using particular search terms are in buying mood. That's not the case on Facebook so you need to presell to them more. If you can do that then Facebook ads win i think.

this is a very interesting time we are about to go through I think. We are going to see Facebook take away a good chunk of Google's market share. Google is not going down or anything like that but they are going to have some challenges in the next couple of years for sure.

Both are good, both have their pros and cons.

Are you interested In a specific niche or is this just a general question?

Both are great depending on type of product being advertised and the target audience.

It depends on what kind of industry the ads are meant for. If those are meant for some professional related stuffs, then google is a better option. If some ecommerce related stuffs are there facebook ads are more relevant to go for. So look out for the target audience and select the ads to go with.

It is all about the testing, testing and testing. Some people will swear that Facebook ads is the best and some will say that Google adwords are better, however, you have to figure it out by yourself. Most people have conversion problem and not a traffic problem. Create some ads on both, test everything in your funnel and decide what will work for you. Thanks.

Look at it like this. You are watching TV and the commercials come on. 90% of those commercials you don't pay attention to. How many people say - I can't wait to watch the commercials during my show? Other then the Superbowl of course but that's on a different level then regular everyday commercials. The same goes for Facebook - nobody goes on Facebook to look at the advertising. Now saying that, certain ads may catch a users eye or if the user sees the ad enough times it may draw out some curiosity on what it is you are advertising. Regardless, people on Facebook are not looking to buy now.

With AdWords, people are searching live for what it is they are interested in. May it be a service or product. Your ad being seen on Google while the user is actively looking for your product/service gives you a higher chance on making that sale now.

Is Google more expensive ? Per click, the answer is yes in most cases. But, in the long run you will see a healthier ROI using AdWords then using Facebook in most cases.

My knowledge of this comes from real experience, not just from me but also most of my clients.

It depends what you are looking for. Both are good in their own ways. With Facebook you can target way better.

    I like both.

Fb ads works well for general/list building traffic, and google adwords works well for "buying" offers.

I would recommend both of them actually but it also depends on the different offers you are looking to target. Many of the niches are abandoned on those traffic sources...so you will need to be careful in regards to what offers you want to promote. Both of the sources require a landing page so direct linking is not an option. From what i hear FB traffic is mostly mobile.

    Facebook ads hands down

  • James explained it well.

It's not that one is better than another. It's about properly reaching your audience. This is usually best done with a search campaign such as on Google and Bing/Yahoo. You show your ad at the moment they are looking for you. This is called pulling the prospect to you. Facebook is more of a pushing strategy just like James explained with the TV commercial analogy.

Google has their display network which is a push strategy. This can work well but you have to do it in a smart way. Most of my clients don't use it because it doesn't make sense in many cases. But I do have a prospect now where I'm going to use only the display network as it makes sense for them and not a search campaign.

Be smart on your strategy for your own product or service, have the proper message for the strategy being used and you should be successful no matter if you use FB, Google or any other ad network.

If you'd ask me, I certainly would choose for Google. The main reason is the fact that you likely serve interesting/targeted ads to your audience, which bothers them less than when you serve irritating ads out of their scope of interest. Retargeting on Google works great since the internet is full of Google ads. Not sure how this works with Facebook though...

    Hey,

Both has their own pros and cons and though being completely two different platforms cannot be compared to see which one is better. Blended running can be best for the campaign.

Some points that can be helpful can be seen here:

    Why not try both?
Keep in mind Adwords is very strict and you need to have a fully built out site

Really depend on your offer and time / budget you have.
As mentioned above, both are good and both can bring you volume.
      But both requierd different approach.

But, for b2c product, i generally start with Adwords,Bing and Facebook

What type of product it is ? What niche ?

I have been getting positive ROI with Facebook ads. My Google ads have been getting negative ROI lately. My Twitter ads have also been getting negative ROI.

I'm all about the results - it's Facebook ads for me.
