Does Maxbounty allow offline marketing?

I have used offline marketing in the past with good results. I just joined maxbounty and was wondering if anyone knew whether they allowed traffic from offline sources?

This will vary offer by offer, your best to reach out to your am to find out which offers allow this and which do not

I wouldn't do it without getting the OK from my affiliate manager. In short, probably no.

Thanks for the advice guys. Went ahead and emailed my AM. Hoping I get the greenlight because I am pretty sure I could make a ton of money with how I want to promote this by leveraging my offline business since the offer I'm promoting is a pay per sale. Also wanted to ask you guys to see if anyone had any experience with this, but it seems it does vary by offer.

Worst comes to worst I can just refine and split test my ad copy and make it work. But i figured it couldn't hurt to ask!

It's good that you asked your AM first before even promoting such campaigns because most of the networks these days do not allow offline marketing but there are some cases where a CPA offer might work like a charm using offline strategies. You wont see most the time networks mentioning that they allow offline traffic but it always helps if you ask your manager.

The best thing would to be reach your AM.

In general, pay per sale offers have less restrictions since your getting paid only if the advertiser makes money unlike CPL offers where the advertiser has to wait for the lead to back out

Just thought I would update everyone, I spoke to my AM and offline marketing is not allowed.

Glad I reached out to my AM. Thanks to everyone who gave advice!

I have been working on optimizing my online campaign in order to get some conversions, so I will be trying my new campaign out tomorrow and I think it should be fairly successful!

That's what I thought. Generally speaking most offers are exclusive to online only - but sometimes if you have a specific offer in mind you can ask your affiliate rep if the merchant would agree to make an exception and allow a bit of flyer marketing or door-to-door sales.

But at least you asked and as I always say: if you don't ask you don't get

I always suggest affiliates use offline marketing to draw surfers to their own developed website instead of directly to a sponsor, and that website educates/presells/mousetraps/directs the surfer to your advertisers. That way you aren't offline-advertising any sponsor directly. Generally speaking, as long as you aren’t deceiving the surfer, most advertisers aren’t too concerned how you get a surfer to your own website. When this model is done best, you capture the surfer’s contact info and the advertiser in question is just one of many through the path of the site.

    Here’s a rough example…

Say you intended to advertise an auto insurance quote CPL campaign offline. A better option would be to develop a website about buying your first car (or upgrading your car, or best cars for moms, or whatever) and advertise that site offline instead. Your site could educate the surfer about how important a good credit score is (sponsor) when trying to get an auto loan (sponsor), and that different insurance companies offer different rates (sponsors) for the same driver. If you can’t afford the car you want, perhaps online education (sponsor) can help you boost your career. And in the short term, perhaps completing surveys at home (sponsor) will help save a few bucks. Either way, sign up for my newsletter (future sponsors) and I’ll send you 10 secret tips dealerships don’t want you to know when buying a car.

    You’re welcome.

      Thanks for the advice JP.

Years ago I did something similar and worked ok, I just found my time was better spent on online sources , but that's just me, others may have different results.

      JP,

Thank you very much for sharing this! Its an awesome idea since I already use offline methods to grow my list! It makes way more sense to direct offline leads to a website I own and then put them in front of multiple related offers. Its additionally awesome that this will also increase the value of said website in the event i want to sell it in the future. I will be putting this into place immediatly. Also its pretty cool to have the CEO of a major network respond to my question. Thanks for taking the time!
