Sounds like ya got a few things to catch up in the CPA game.

I would recommend you picking an offer...

Then talking to your affiliate manager about what they recommend for that specific offer.

Also, Instagram is a good source of free traffic.

Tracking software is only required if you are promoting CPA offers using PPC traffic.

Even if you're using free traffic - you'll still want to track which free traffic source conversions came from - other wise you could spend tons of time focusing on a free traffic source that isn't giving you any results.

Since you intend using free traffic then just take your affiliate link shorten it with bit.ly and post it on some high traffic targeted page.

It's true that you better have a good tracking software if you buy traffic, but other features such as landing page rotations and geotargeting can be very useful if you want to squeeze out of this traffic as much as you can.
You place one link and you push 1000 offers. Clearly you will see what sort of offers have better traction than others.
Generally speaking, if you deal with traffic, free or paid, you must track and know exactly what you doing.
