Can I Open a 2nd AdSense Account?

Yes, I know I'm not "supposed" to, but that isn't my question.

Quick backstory: about two years ago I started my first ever blog, threw up AdSense on it, and clicked on my own ads. I got banned and I deserved to get banned. I was just f-cking around and never thought it would matter anyway.

Fast-forward two years and now I have a better idea of how to make money online with websites.

So I know if you're banned from AdSense, you're banned for life, but here are a couple of things working in my favor (I think):

--the website that originally got banned expired, and I have nothing to do with it anymore.
--I moved apartments so I have a new address.
--I have a new computer and sold the old one.
--I recently got married and my wife still has her maiden name & her own bank account.

So ... I'm thinking that with a new website, new address, new IP (and computer), and opening up the account in my wife's name & bank account, that I shouldn't really have any problems.

Can anyone tell me why I might be wrong?

Mike - In my opinion, those changes should make is possible to get a new account in your wife's name/bank account. Basically, ALL of the info is new so as long as you don't link that new acct to older domains registered in your name/info it should be ok.

I know from what people have told me about banned accounts that google checks quite a few "points" but you seem to have it covered.
So many people were banned years ago because they didn't realize google meant business with the terms/conditions. At least you admit it was your fault.

Most who clicked their own ads swore they were only "testing" - one fellow told me he clicked "in error"....50 times?

(if I were you) I wouldn't be tempted into a new account with them, unfortunately they really are not a reliable 1st choice like everyone makes them out to be. If you are in fact going to use them to fill supply, make them the lowest priority in your demand stack / back fill.

You can open up a new account with new detail but make sure you don't repeat the mistakes you made the first time!
