Media buying - having trouble screaming out bad websites

Hi,

But unless I see a website with obvious $10 articles, I'm having a hard time scratching candidates off the list.

For example here's a website that seems decent, though I really can't tell: Sugar-Free Mom

And: Parenting a Child With ADD: Working With Your School - MomAdvice

How do you guys determine which websites are good or bad for a media buy? Does it just come down to taking the leap and seeing what happens? As someone on a limited media buying budget this is going to be kind of tough for me.

I appreciate any and all advice, thanks :-)

I use Alexa's data. In your case, the first website has an alexa rank of 90k and the other one is out of scope.

You can give a try for sugarfreemom, it has good authority and was listed in huffingtonpost too, so it might get some decent visitors.

Basing on these data, you can give a try, some websites provide demographic data for media buyers, if possible try to get that info from them.

With this approximation data, start slow, and if you think it is working for you, its good or else you can ask for a refund., most websites will give you refund if you are not profiting by advertising in their website. Its always better to ask all these details before you start.

with 90k alexa, you won't get good amount of traffic, but if the people you are targeting are your targeted traffic, you can make good money or else its just waste of money.

I usually do media buying in heavy traffic sites with alexa rank around 500-600 with $15 - $18 CPM. But the traffic is super targeted to my offers, so i do great with that.

    Good luck
