AdSense accross countries

Hi all

So I have a little bit of a silly question, I guess. In my country AdSense doesn't pay a lot per click. I have a cooking website that gets roughly 2,8 cents per click which is worthless, but I am thinking about getting into the international market.

I believe most keywords for American users should pay WAY above 2,8 cents per click, but will they pay higher even if I am not from America? Will they pay as if they were from Portugal (my country) ?

  • Speculating CPC for Adsense in different country is a typical work. The CPC depends on the bid that Advertisers are made with keywords. However Targeting International users will certainly increase your earning.
  • As long as your traffic is from Tier 1 countries (US/Canada/UK/etc), you're fine.

    Don't focus on the geography of your site

    Focus on where your traffic is coming from
  • you need to do keyword research before posting any content to your website. When you add targeted content s then you'll have targeted visits from your focused countries. This way you might have increase in CPC.
