How to upload clearer photos on Facebook?

I've tried all sorts of ways to compress, or even upload a sharper, bigger file, but after uploading, the image looks like utter shit.

This is an example

This is how it looks like after uploading to FB

Pardon the size, due to comp's resolution, but you get the idea.

Is there any way I can make the text WAY clearer than that?

Try re-sizing it with Pixlr or some other graphics tool, if you have Photoshop that's great, resize then save as a .png, you should some good quality.

The image is likely being compressed because its too large. Lower the original file size and the image text should clear up.

  That's my issue now though. The image size is 1200x628 on my Mac and the requirements is that dimension.
  
  I know file size is probably the issue, and tried compressing it through diff means, but doesn't seem to work. Anyone knows the exact size of the file so it will not be compressed? I
