Does anyone use clickbank and how do you promote it?

My main income comes from promoting Clickbank products with PPC.

I'm also now branching off into creating blogs/authority sites and placing banners, text links on those sites to Clickbank products.

I've been using Clickbank for a few months now - it's been up and down but that really has to do with which products you're promoting.

The first product I promoted turned out to have an awful sales page that refused to convert, no matter how many leads I sent its way (it was a good product too, just a bad sales page).

Now, I make sure to read everything thoroughly and check for success by other affiliates. Gotta make sure the person whose product you're promoting actually put some effort in on their end so your hard work doesn't go to waste.

I've never really used them. But I've heard the work if you have the budget and experience to compete.

Thanks for responding. I have a Clickbank account and CPA accounts but I don't know how to get customers. Right now I don't have the money to use PPC. Has anyone used any free methods to make money with Clickbank. If you do can you tell me step by step like I was 5 years old so I can make sure I get this right. Im learning fast but just can't seem to make any money. I'm not looking to make a million dollars over night, just $10-50 a day would be nice. Thanks

I've just started using Clickbank. It seems to me that picking the right product, suitable for your niche, is key.

You can promote it via your list, if you have one. If not, you need to build one. Use a signature on the bottom of all your emails, create a landing page, with a free report of value to your niche. Write Articles of interest to your niche.

You need to drive traffic to your landing page, and have visitors opt in to be on your List, before sending the free report

I use Clickbank via direct linking in MSN & Yahoo. Make sure to use broader terms in MSN in order to get the most impressions.

I have a love hate relationship with CB.

Have marketed various products since Dec 2007 with varying sucess. I mainly use free methods, SEO, articles etc. Right now it's about 30% of my income on auto-pilot and over the last few weeks it's not been too bad.

As with any marketing it's about getting to know your target visitors and tapping into what they think and how they think it.

It takes time the way I do it, but I wouldn't give up 30% of my income.

To the OP, pick a method and do it.

The key I guess is traffic no matter what product you promote, no matter clickbank or cj or cpa network offers.

I have used article marketing to kick off a clickbank campaign and then relied on organic search results to bring traffic and sales. I have tried to stay out of competitive niches too. Its easier to get organic search traffic on low competition keywords.

Clickbank products are fickle though. You will be rolling along and then the only thing that seems to change will be the conversion rates.

Alexa made some very good points on using clickbank and marketing for it. I think having a decent landing page with your own opt-in is very important!

      HI guys

When choosing a product on clickbank for ppc. If you discover that the product you are looking to promote is on the front page under the main keyword such as "muscle building" is this product going to be hard to promote even with a grav of around 45? Surely not right? the vendors are always going to be on page 1 right ?

Also is a grav of under 100 enough to show the page converts but not too competitive

      thanks Robert

Yeah I do, first you need to find out what is a good product to promote and the best way is to do it by looking at the gravity of the product

The gravity is the most important part, if the gravity is high that means that there are a lot of people promoting it and they are making money, but as chtfld says, the sales page has to be good because if it isn't your gone from the start, so stick to the high gravity ones and you should be fine
