$200 wasted on buysellads,help here

Hello guys, I need your help on this. So on the 9th of march 2016 i bought banner space 20,000impressions leaderboard 728 by 90 top centre on buysellads to be placed on IBTimes.com + USA geotargeting, everything amounted to $180. Unfortunately for me i realised late that the site wasnt targeted and the banner impression bought was pretty small compared to the amount of impressions that site/banner space gets monthly. After purchasing i havent set my eyes on my banner on that site. All i usually see is google display ads on that banner space. 3 days gone and its about 1900 impressions gone and only 2 clicks. I tried getting my money back but they declined. It kinda seems to me that i'm getting bot impressions regardless of the wrong decision i made to buy ad on that site.
Now my question is this
1. Do normal banners show and rotate alongside google display ads.
I'm simply looking for a way to get my money back, because last week i paid for space on rantfinance.com via Buysellads and i was getting bot impressions while my banner wasnt displayed on that site. Under this circumstance i was refunded.
Please kindly help out with your thoughts on this,

    The website traffic is genuine, I don't know how did you get that you were getting bot traffic. They will allocate the amount of impressions you bought, If you bought 20,000 impressions they are not going to give you 1 million. They are not going to place an ad saying "advertise here" when they can put google ads and make money off it. Sometimes you can rotate banners and see which one sticks out. Rather than slapping 1 banner and praying it works. Ibtimes.com is a generic news website like huffingtonpost.com, cnn.com, abcnews.com. etc. If you are not getting clicks for your ad that means the banner isn't good enough or it is wrongly targeted. If you can give me the link of the banner I can give you more input.

    You should def use some link tracking to a.) get a clear picture for yourself what is happening with your ad
    and b.) prove to the vendor that you are getting bot clicks (if that really is the case)

    What's your niche?

    Seems to me IBT is quite broad and may not be ideal for driving actions.

    Your CTR is dependent on the relevance and ability of the banner to attract attention.

    If you're having poor results with BuySellAds perhaps try Google Display where you can choose specific sites (placements) to advertise on.

      Dude - whatever you do don't go with ineedarticles.com Stick to Elance or iWriter. At least there's accountability on quality, in other words you don't have to pay for it if the quality stinks.

      Been trying for 2 weeks to get a response from them on some articles I paid a premium for that were either: written by non-native speakers, robots, or spun. I had one that was plagerized.

    Google Display will let you target to the actual target audience for the most part. Plus you can pick the sites that best suits your needs. Or the content of a page like women's health or real estate or whatever. This will help make sure that your ad for older women for example doesn't pop up on pages mostly viewed by guys.
