Hi guys,
I´m new to CPA but have been soaking up everything I can here and other forums for the last few days.

I´ve been approved on Maxbounty and will be applying for Peerfly next. I asked my AM at Maxbounty to send me a couple of offers to start with (based on my inexperience) and he did.

I´m planing to drive paid traffic thru Adwords (search traffic only) to a landing page that will be custom built for my offer.

Questions:

1 - What do I need to do in order to capture email addresses before I sent the visitor over to the offer (merchant) website?

2 - What is the best way to use these emails once I build a list?

3 - Should I rely solely on the CPA network and Adwords to keep track of data such as EPC, CTR , earning and etc... Or there are any tool out there to help me with this?

4 - I´m on a limited $200 budget to start testing. Would it be better to start with one offer with multiple variations of keywords, ad copies and etc.. and tweak it after a few days or should I test more than one offer during this phase?

5 - How long should I wait until I can collect reliable data in order to start optimizing the campaign?

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate your help.

It might be a good idea to sign up for a 3rd party tracking platform. Prosper202 is probably the most popular one.

I would focus on just a couple of campaigns to start, especially considering you're fairly modest budget. Have you talked to your MaxBounty AM about your budget and what campaigns/variations might be a good fit? I know you mentioned they suggested some offers to you already.

I'd also say if you're just starting out, prosper202 is easier to learn and a great way to get your feet wet

Are you new to AdWords as well as CPA? AdWords is one of the most expensive PPC platforms and they have a lot of specific criteria for their landing page requirements.. so they generally aren't recommended for starting out in PPC.

1 - What do I need to do in order to capture email addresses before I sent the visitor over to the offer (merchant) website?
You need an auto responder, such as Aweber then put an opt-in form on your landing page. You can offer your visitors something such as a free report or ebook so they'll want to opt-in to your list.

2 - What is the best way to use these emails once I build a list?
You should send your list useful niche related information that will help them such as tips, advice, etc.. plus a mix of promotional emails where you can soft sell a product.

3 - Should I rely solely on the CPA network and Adwords to keep track of data such as EPC, CTR , earning and etc... Or there are any tool out there to help me with this?
As said above, it's best to use a third party tracker such as Prosper202 because it provides more data. Prosper202 is the only free self-hosted tracking software, so it's a good choice.

4 - I´m on a limited $200 budget to start testing. Would it be better to start with one offer with multiple variations of keywords, ad copies and etc.. and tweak it after a few days or should I test more than one offer during this phase?
It depends on the niche and what sort of payout the offers have that you're promoting. If you are promoting an offer in a competitive niche such as weight loss, then you should start with one offer.

5 - How long should I wait until I can collect reliable data in order to start optimizing the campaign?
The answer to this question is subjective because people have their own way of doing things. Some PPC marketers recommend waiting until a keyword has at least 50 clicks before deciding to pause that keyword. For keywords that make more than one sale, you should gradually increase the bid until you think it's in the optimum position.

For my landing page, I only used images and the opt in box. Does it matter for Adwords? I understand that it would be a problem for seo.

Are you going for SEO or for Paid traffic (google adwords)?

I'm also interested in this information as I'm gonna get started with CPA real soon.

So if I understand correctly, I like the idea of capturing the email, right, the thing is, are we supposed to show the offer right after the person sub to your mailing list ?

Or are we supposed to just capture the email, and then in the email sequence, try to market the said offer.

As much as I like the idea of capturing the mail, it certainly is more complicated than just "direct linking" lol, I don't even know if it's still possible to make money with direct linking, but from what I have read it seemed like a bad idea

Have you asked your AM at Maxbounty if they accept adwords? As I know if I'm not wrong they consider Adwords as PPC network and I found many CPA they don't allow PPC or PTC.

1 - What do I need to do in order to capture email addresses before I sent the visitor over to the offer (merchant) website?
You need an auto responder, I'd also recommend Aweber.

2 - What is the best way to use these emails once I build a list?
You can go in Aweber and send maybe bi-weekly emails or/and have a auto-sent message every few days.

3 - Should I rely solely on the CPA network and Adwords to keep track of data such as EPC, CTR , earning and etc... Or there are any tool out there to help me with this?
You can look into 3rd party tracking, but this can be a bit overwhelming when starting out. It also depends on how and what you are looking to promote.

4 - I´m on a limited $200 budget to start testing. Would it be better to start with one offer with multiple variations of keywords, ad copies and etc.. and tweak it after a few days or should I test more than one offer during this phase?
If you have a $200 budget, I would look into finding a way to get free traffic to your squeeze page because you'll burning through that too quickly with paid ads, and will barely be able to get any data.

5 - How long should I wait until I can collect reliable data in order to start optimizing the campaign?
I usually spend1.5x the offer's payout on each keyword.
