CPA marketing for beginners?

Hi all,

I purchased Sparks CPA based on a recommendation on this site to get started with CPA marketing but am finding it akin to learning Chinese. I'm sure it's a great course for those looking to understand advanced methods but it doesn't touch upon or explain the concepts for a beginner to understand the modules or so has been my experience anyway...

Keen to go back/refer to it upon building my knowledge when it'll make more sense but in the meantime does anyone know of any good CPA marketing courses/resources I can look into?

Cheers.

Guides are always a good starting point to get a basic understanding of the CPA industry, so it doesn't hurt to read these.

The fastest way to learn though is still via trial and error. Basically, jump into the cold water and learn to swim with the sharks, as nothing beats front-line experience to finetune your CPA skills.

But in a nutshell, pick a CPL product with high margins per lead (these are easier to convert than per sale products), build a micro-website to capture the leads for the network and throw solid PPC traffic at it such as Adwords and BING.

Then it's just a number crunching exercise of which keywords are profitable, optimizing your campaign and tweaking your website for higher conversions.

In terms of products, look into real estate, finance and legal claims ... anything that pays a commission per referred customer instead of confirmed sale. I would also read upon anything you can get your hands on in terms of Adwords PPC (i.e. Perry Marshall's Adwords Guide is good for starters), as this is the one thing you don't want to outsource. Website design and coding you can outsource no problem, but the PPC campaign you should always do yourself.

    Hope that helps for starters
