    1. Google ads
    2. Affiliate products related to your niche. (Do some research online and try to find highly converting products with high commissions)
    3. Selling niche related t-shirts etc. (You can get them designed for a very low price)
    4. Amazon products (affiliate links)

You can use Google Adsense if you get approved by Google. Getting Adsense is not very easy for newbies, so I think it would really matter how much content you have, site visitors, or subscribers. If you already have an approved account for Adsense, that is a great way to monetize your blog.

I am still a newbie and I have the fear of getting rejected by Google Adsense so I am also exploring some resources that can be a good alternative for Adsense. Some of those that I have seen so far that I might try in the future is AdsOptimal. It shows that AdsOptimal gives an almost similar payout with Adsense as long as you have a high-traffic blog.

Try Medianet, it is similar to Adsense in terms of ad type. This is powered by Yahoo! and Bing, you can get an easy approval if you have quality blog contents. Some other options that you might want to take a look at are Infolinks, Amazon Display Ads, Adversal, and Viglinks. Great alternatives so far.

Placing ads are great to make money out of your blog but I think it would be better to place ads of your own. What I meant by that is if you have some of your products related to the content of your blog, why not use it as your ads. Not only you can earn through affiliate earnings but you can also earn with direct purchases from potential buyers who read your content.

  • I agree that you can use ads but make sure that the ads you use are somewhat related to your content or niche. Most readers avoid clicking ads that are obviously not related to their interest. Even if the ads are not your own products you can earn from affiliate sales and not through links. Some that I know are Skimlinks and Viglink. Worth a try!

Ads are great but affiliate marketing is better, well for me, I agree that you can earn more with other companies sales rather than just be relying on people to click randomly or unintentionally with the ads you place on your blog. Earning from the commission is higher than clicks. I also suggest that you get to know the product you are trying to promote as if you have more knowledge about the product, it would be to your advantage since you can well increase sales from it. A great way to earn passive income.
