I've been promoting affiliate CPA offers for over 16 years.

I drive traffic by acquiring fresh / targeted 3rd party email data. Which is data that the users have shown an interest in a specific niche and have provided permission to receive messages from third parties. You get the opt-in record for each user and it's 100% can spam compliant.

The reason I acquire data is that I'm then building assets that I own and can market to users over and over very cheaply. That way I actually control the flow of the traffic, which is key to affiliate / CPA success.

3rd parity data typically isn't as responsive as a highly targeted opt-in list you develop yourself. But it really doesn't matter because it is much cheaper and highly scalable compared to mainstream list building.

The key to making it work long term is to always be collecting your opens / clickers, segmenting and removing unresponsive users. This way you are building smaller, more responsive list that you should eventually be able to make more and send less with each mailing. Essentially you are converting it from quantity to quality.

I mainly promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compare to offer that requires a sale to be made.

So basically I'm monetizing the data using PPL offers because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversions / $$$ and converting the data into cash producing assets.

There is plenty of bizop third party data that exists. However, bizop is rather broad in its targeting and you are typically trying to make a sale. So it's never been my cup of tea. Where I'm getting data that is typically targeted to the PPL offer and I'm just generating leads. However, there are plenty of guys running bizop data.

Something to think about.

i have been using bing ppc. it is not that easy. you have to run many cpa offers at the same time to get conversions and mostly..always...always...track your conversions. i use clickmagik to do that
