Question about the bodybuilding niche

I have a great website I'm going to set up as part of the bodybuilding and fitness niche. It will contain workout guides, nutrition information, and lots of reference material.

I will also have reviews of popular equipment and products.

What kind of CPC can I expect for Google AdSense? I've heard that the publishers on the content network get much less than what the advertisers bid on the search network. Do those same rules of CPC still apply? Like, bodybuilding will still generate more per click than animals or recipes.

    If you earned $1 impression CPM, what would 1,000 visitors a day earn you?
    If you know the CPM then the remaining variables are:
    Ads per page : The average number of ad units displayed per page impression
    Pages per visit : How many pages the average visitor views
    Pages per visit X Average ad units X Impression CPM = Revenue per 1000 visitors
    A website serving an average of 3 pages per visit, each with 2 ad units and an impression CPM of $1 would therefore earn $6 per 1000 visits.

    But your impression CPM probably isn't $1. Prices paid on AdSense are dynamic. They are fixed by auction rather than being standard across the network and the value of every impression changes.

    NO ONE can tell you what profit you will earn from a site you have yet to build and optimize and rank....that shouldn't be a surprise.

    Yes, there is a difference between content and search - but if you are reading about the 'changes' you're reading some very old information. Best bet is to BUILD the site, start getting traffic to the site - then find products to sell on the site or add adsense if you want.

    Don't focus on what you can earn IF you do something. Instead, do something to earn the money.

    Besides the points mentioned by the previous posters, I can also say that the CPC varies a lot by country. You will get a much bigger CPC if your visitors are from USA or Canada, and a much smaller CPC if your visitors are from India for example.
