I need help with Facebook Ads

Hi,

I'm from Algeria I'm totally new in spending money on advertisement, I tried to create a campaign to get traffic to my website, it coasts me 1.6$ per click it looks so expensive.

I'm targeting united states audience and I think a viral website who talks about everything don't need such a budget to get traffic.

is there any solution or info that helps me with this annoying Facebook ads ?

    You need to take advantage of Facebook's targeting system. Don't be so broad with your targeting. Focus on people who would be interested in your advertisement - For instance, if I wanted to reach new fans for a musician, I might use an exciting photo and use some catchy text with a call to action, and my targeting would probably focus on a younger crowd, and maybe on fans of a similar well-known artists or band.

    Facebook is really good for gauging what works and what doesn't. You should be able to see if your ad is performing well. You can even gauge how well it does on certain devices (in fact, I would focus targeting on mobile, especially with a younger crowd). I would start off with something small and see how it performs, then make minor adjustments based off where it's getting the most traction.

    Can you share more details on what you've tried?
    How many ads did you test (images and text)?

    Are you sure that you set the target correctly? perhaps the target audience is not selected selectively.
