Using Ad Networks to Make money

A bit confused... Does anyone use websites like buysellads.com to buy ad spaces and make money?

For example, by Mid-Page - Medium Rectangle - Sticky Unit
300 x 250 Middle Right (250,000 Impressions for $250)

I could then put up a hostgator referral link, right? I would assume to get 2500 clicks.
Some serious money could be made here, right? Or am I missing something?

So basically the bet is on if you can get enough clicks to get your money back and actually make money, right?

    I prefer buying ad space with pops using admaven and clickadu and put different cpa offers there.

    Yes, you can make some serious money, but if your website is fulfilling numerous details. Above everything, you need to have a lot of traffic on your site and you can't click on your ads, you will get banned.

    I think one of the best ad platforms is AppNext , they are easy for using and you can earn some good money there (if you have a good traffic)

    you can buy space at affpub at a relatively low rate and high conversion.
