Hey,

I don't understand why this site isn't making money...

HouseSnoop.com

A lot of good content..

Can anyone advise on why its not working please? I'm talking about it making around £0.03 / month.... Its not even worth keeping at that

Thanks for any help

  • Hi,

You probably don't have good SEO. Do you rank high for any keywords? Do you have backlinks? Having good SEO is key for bringing in free traffic.

I see a coding error on Chrome that is displaying a cutoff 960 leaderboard above the 728x90.

Otherwise, I suggest putting a responsive vertical ad in the right column and get rid of the popup video that covers a large section of the page. You also might try putting the wide link unit in the middle of the content rather than right under the 728x90. They compete with each other.

Try Auto Ads in Adsense if you have that facility.

If you don't then if you use WordPress then you need to add responsive ad code in the content. One ad at the top will not really be enough revenue.

    Thanks for the replies.

I will impliment all suggestions and see how it goes - I still cant find where the code from the cut off leaderboard is coming from... I disabled all adsense plugins and checked the code on the pages but just can't find it - Its not even my adsense code...

    Thanks again, appreciate it

It's loading fine. Some answers are only loosely related to the question you asked.

I had to click an article link on the index page to FIND a google ad - and when I did it was not targeted to "bath remodel" topic of the web page but to 'pet products' I had purchased last week.

Adsense is a slog these days. If that were my site I'd put in the work required to change to an Amazon or other affiliate product site. Could be far more lucrative than adsense.

Won't go into site style, etc - except to say the red 'date' labels are distracting and unnecessary. Online, people are usually looking for 'new ideas' and those labels make the info appear 'outdated'. Just my opinion.

I opened your site in Firefox. First I didn't find any ads but then I saw something awkward, one of your ads was partially overlapped by your heading "Latest News". I think before doing anything, you need to check the layout of your website pages..
