I came across an article on AdWeek which summarises that every $1 spent on radio advertising returns around $12 in consumer purchases.

Granted, I agree with this. Many of us drive on our way to work, tuned in to the radio where ads blast through the speakers.

Thoughts?

You don't know what a radio ad is?

  • Advertising is forever advertising, you should rely on the reality of your business and choose the right plan to avoid losing costs.

Had a chuckle at that - it is true but the goal of many here is to NOT have to 'drive to work'.

Like most advertising channels, it depends on your target audience. Some radio stations will have a page on their website for advertisers to learn about their listeners' demographics, like this listener profile.

According to Neilsen in 2018, 93% of US adults 18 or older listen to the radio, making it more popular platform than tv, smartphone, pc, tv-connected device, and tablet.

Radio Ads work but in the today technology world, it is impossible to drive as much as traffic & leads as compared to digital ads. So, you can use social media marketing, classified ads marketing & various other digital marketing methods to generate leads & increase the conversion rate for the business.

Radio (as well as TV) ads have always been very effective for driving traffic. Perhaps more so now than ever before, because of growing market segmentation, you can target specific demographics.

I don`t even remember when I have listening the radio last time. It definitely has it`s own audience, but it is very narrow, I think so, but again, it depends on many factors

Cars being wired with ad-free music services obviously further challenge this industry. Think there's still a place for high LTV lead generation ads (Celino and Barnes, anyone?), but the days of using radio for higher funnel brand building are fewer and further between (perhaps I'm just waxing nostalgic for the old "Real Men of Genius" spots from early 2000's
