According to VentureBeat, Microsoft spent "$219.1 million on ads for the product, an 18.76% increase year over year."

Apple, meanwhile, spent only $26.4 million on a single ad with approximately 824 million impressions. Yes, Microsoft is heavy on promoting the Surface line especially the ARM-based Surface Pro X.
