Sick of Google and Facebook ads? Here are alternates

There are two big names in online advertising. The first one is a very popular search engine, which happens to also own YouTube. The other one is a social networking giant which also owns Instagram and WhatsApp.

Microsoft Advertising

Now you might ask me - who uses Bing? Well I do, and Microsoft claims 5.5 billion monthly searches on its search network and that's pretty big. Furthermore, Microsoft Ads is less competitive simply because it's not as used as Google. Now go on and have your ads shown on Bing search results.

LinkedIn Advertising

LinkedIn is a completely different social media ecosystem, as it's a professional social network. But advertising on LinkedIn is pretty much like Facebook, but with an audience that's comprised of mostly working professionals.

Twitter ads

Another underrated advertising platform, Twitter ads work like Facebook. What's more, you can also pay to promote a trend. According to Twitter, a Promoted Trend is a "24-hour high-impact takeover of the Trends list on Twitter", so in essence you get to be on top of the top trends for a day.

Do share any other ad platforms you've had prior experience!

I agree Facebook is becoming a lot expensive these days.
The best place for B2B marketing is LinkedIn.
As LinkedIn comprises of professional members only businesses that offer profession centric products get a high ROI when they place Ads on LinkedIn.

The way I see it. Linkedin is full of cheesy marketers and self-proclaimed experts. And Fb is expensive if you try to target good converting traffic but then again to get traffic that can get sales which network isn't expensive!!

Nowadays, Facebook ads are only beneficial for brand awareness and engagement. Most of the leads generated from Facebook are not qualified and converting into sales. I still feel spending Google Ads are worth then looking into alternative.

    SHHHHHHH.. come closer...

Don't tell anyone... but old fashion DIRECT MAIL could be the most overlooked darling in the marketer's tool box.

Online advertising platforms have a lot of moving parts. And it's easy to get kicked off the platforms if you piss off the hosts.

    But DIRECT MAIL... yum, yum,

I just got off the phone with Jay Peters, who LOVES direct mail. He's sold ooodles of information products by direct mail. And he's got lists...

I must have 24,000 emails that I've never opened and not yet deleted. Not even looked at... but with DIRECT MAIL... you've got to look at it, on the way from the mail box to the kitchen waste basket... before you toss it.

Touch it, feel, it, wonder who sent me this, what's it about, it might be important.

I have often used those AIR MAIL envelopes to good effect.

Even GOOGLE uses direct mail and has for years... what do they know???
I vote direct mail as a good alternative to those online giants.
